4 Day First Aid at Work Course
This course is intended for Businesses that employ more than 50 people where a Workplace First Aider is required. Businesses should always that there are sufficient First Aiders to ensure continuity of cover to take account of leave, secondments and promotions.
These courses are strictly governed by the 1981 HSE First Aid Regulations and cover and exhaustive array of First Aid situations that will enable Workplace First Aiders to feel completely confident when assisting their colleagues, customers and visitors to work and also enable them to put their skills to use within their Communities whenever the need arises.
This 4 day course covers all the familiar basics including;
The Principles of First Aid
The Importance of Personal Safety
Assessing the Scene
Assessing the Casualty or Casualties
The Priorities of Treatment for single and multiple casualties
The use of the Recovery Position
The use of CPR covering proper technique, outcomes and consequences
The Assessment of Bleeding, Burns and Broken Bones
The use of First Aid Kit equipment
Treatment priorities for victims of Choking, Seizures, Diabetes, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Chest Pains and a wide range of other conditions and ailments from Sprained Ankles to Head Injuries

As with all First Aid at Work Courses there are final day written and practical assessments aimed at providing the opportunity for students to demonstrate their competent acquisition of new Life Saving Skills
